Electroclump

Entered By: Mike McClintock
This is a variation on a Vieux Carre with very herbal notes and plenty of umami instead of sweetness. I used the Middle West Spirits OYO Oroloso Wheat Whiskey, which is a wheat whisky made from Ohio winter red wheat and then aged in new American oak and then finished in used Oroloso sherry barrels. Any softer/mellow tasting whisky should work just fine here. I had used what little creativity I had stored to conjure up this concoction so I was at a loss as what to name it. I sipped this bad boy whilst enjoying some educational coffee content on YouTube from James Hoffman, where he attempted to coin the phrase "electroclump" in lieu of "aggregate". I thought to myself "that's a silly name but its not more silly than something I would come up with" and figured "screw it, that's the name of this drink."
